Presentation of artists' work

We encourage all artists to share the result of their residency/international collaboration through an open rehearsal, studio performance, talk or exhibition at the Center for local audiences.

Kundalini Yoga morning practice

All guests of the Center are welcome to join in the Kundalini Yoga morning practice from 8 - 9 a.m.

The Center is located 2 km from the Baltic Sea in an isolated rural environment. Swimming is possible in the summer. The nearest store is 6 km away and carries only the very basics. Two bicycles are at the disposal of the artists. Artists should plan to bring everything they might need during their residency (except food) with them. The nearest shopping is 80 km away.

Artists should be aware that there isn't much distraction in the way of TV, bars, restaurants, or cinemas in the area. However, there is a beautiful ethnographic museum nearby, as well as archeological sites, nature reserves and bird sanctuaries. Day trips can be arranged for a reasonable fee.

Artist's Residencies

Artists may apply to be in residence at Polli Talu Arts Center. See application procedure. Residencies last 2 - 4 weeks. The cost per person/ per day is EURO 40, which includes housing, meals and studio space. Artists must bring with them all the materials and tools they will need for their work. No allowances are granted for supplies. If you have further questions, please direct them to Marika Blossfeldt, Artistic Director, at marika@pollitalu.org.

International Artistic Collaborations

Up to 15 artists can be accommodated at one time for international artistic collaborations at the Center. One to two studios can be at the disposal of the group of artists, if needed. Artists need to apply following the same procedures as artists applying for residencies. The cost per person/per day is EURO 40, which includes housing, meals and studio space. If more than 10 artists are involved in a project, a discounted group rate of EURO 35 per person is offered. Artists need to secure their own funding to cover the costs of the project. Artists may work 2 - 4 weeks at the Center. If you have further questions, please direct them to Marika Blossfeldt, Artistic Director at marika@pollitalu.org.
