Location |
|
The Center is located
2 km from the Baltic Sea in an isolated rural environment. Swimming is possible
in the summer. The nearest store is 6 km away and carries only the very
basics. Two bicycles are at the disposal of the artists. Artists should
plan to bring everything they might need during their residency (except
food) with them. The nearest shopping is 80 km away.
Artists should be aware
that there isn't much distraction in the way of TV, bars, restaurants, or
cinemas in the area. However, there is a beautiful ethnographic museum nearby,
as well as archeological sites, nature reserves and bird sanctuaries. Day
trips can be arranged for a reasonable fee.

at the Center. One to two studios can be at the disposal of the group
of artists, if needed. Artists need to apply following the same procedures

is offered. Artists need to secure their own funding to cover the costs
of the project. Artists may work 2 - 4 weeks at the Center. If you have
further questions, please direct them to Marika Blossfeldt, Artistic Director
at marika@pollitalu.org.
